The bug caught me again as one night i dedicated a good 3-4 hours to do some kustomizashun work. I wanted to work on a slightly bigger Ork ship so i started to look around for suitable materials. My eyes actually fell on a StuG hull and it was an instant flash in my mind. I quickly stripped it of all other pieces and it was clear i could build upon it, as you can see.
I’m going to try to list all the spare bits that i used in making this ship (which suffered countless modifications as i was building it).
The engines at the back are some W40k missile launcher that i thought looked good enough.
The tails on the back are 40k also but totally unknown to me.
On the sides we have some Tau weapons and some cut up markers from the 40k Campaign tokens (the pieces for various cities/depots/hives, etc).
Some custom teeth cut out from a random piece of plastic that i had lying around and i also definitively dig the Ork glyph.
The bigger “engines” on the back and side are computer parts that i found on a burned out video card.
The small turrets and the weapon batteries are cast by me in resin from BFG Chaos Cruiser parts.
Overall it’s a bit small and misses some detail on the belly of the ship however i want to try and make a mold so i can cast a few of those babies. I have not established yet if i want to enlarge the ship or add more detail.
I must say I like these Croozers more than the ‘standard issue’ ones.
