On 22nd, 23rd and 24th of May we were present at TiG Con, the first Boardgame Convention in Romania!Pe 22, 23 si 24 Mai am fost prezenti la TiG Con, prima conventie de Boardgames din Romania!
The Convention took place in Cluj between 22nd and 25th of May. We started from Bucharest in the afternoon of the 21st of May and we stopped for the night in Bazna, near Medias. Next day in the morning, strengthened by a large breakfast comprising Romanian eggs, goat cheese and a sublime strawberry jam, we took off to Cluj were we arrived near lunch time. After we checked in at our hotel we ran to the convention site to setup the stand. Here is the result:
Space was plenty and we had a good location in the overall sitting. We also got allot of experience for future events. Pro tip: don’t leave home without extra electrical wires.
Attendance was pretty low Thursday and Friday (working days, of course) but Saturday saw a clear improvement in the number of visitors. We were the only ones with wargames and that attracted attention, as we received allot of questions about game systems, miniatures and we even had an interview taken by LookTV. It was also a chance to have Flames of War demos (demonstrating the superiority of veteran Panthers versus trained M4A1 Shermans):

At the end of Saturday we had a beer with our friends at Red Goblin and Sunday morning we left. An extremely pleasant experience that we will no doubt repeat! A clean city filled with calm and smiling people. Finally, we created allot of new friends (in the industry) in these few days.
